Murphy's Lazy Haven

The Mountains are Calling!!!  

We Purchased this cabin in November 2020.  After purchasing this Cabin we completed the following updates:

-New King Mattresses in both Bedrooms

-Replaced dated carpet in both bedrooms with new flooring

-Upgraded toilets

-New shower heads in both bathrooms

-Vizio Smart-TV added to living room

-Samsung Smart-TVs added to both bedrooms

-Most importantly, A deep clean of the Cabin!!!

Murphy's Lazy Haven is an exceptionally maintained cabin that sleeps 4 people. It is located in the highly desirable Sky Harbor Subdivision.  The Cabin is far enough off of the beaten path to enjoy the peacefulness of the Great Smoky Mountains, but close enough to be at all the area attractions in just minutes. The first stop light into Gatlinburg is 10 minutes away.  Murphy's Lazy Haven is within 15-20 minutes of downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Splash Country, Dixie Stampede, and the legendary hiking trails of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Don't forget Ober Gatlinburg for winter skiing, ice skating, and snow tubing.  

This chalet style log cabin is perfect for couples wanting refuge for their exciting Smoky Mountain Vacation or honeymooners looking for a quiet romantic getaway.

Enter the Cabin into the open-concept kitchen and living room.  There is a floor to ceiling stone fireplace to enjoy during the winter months.  A newly added Smart-TV has over 120 cable channels.  You also have the option to login to your favorite Streaming Apps.  

This cabin features two Master Suites, each with a private bathroom.  The first bedroom shares the living room fireplace.  The King log bed has a brand new mattress.  The bedroom has its own exterior door providing access to the rear deck with a beautiful wooded view and hot tub.  A Smart-TV provides both cable and the option to login to your favorite Streaming Apps.

The second bedroom has a King log bed with a brand new mattress.  The bedroom has its own exterior door providing access to the rear deck with a beautiful wooded view and hot tub.  This room also has a Smart-TV.  Please note: this TV utilizes the Spectrum App to access Cable television.  

The rear deck has a table for dining and 4 rocking chairs for relaxation.  There is a hot tub to relax in after a long day of hiking.

The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare home cooked meals.  A spacious island will assist with meal preparation.  The island also has two bar stools to provide seating so the Chef of your party can have an audience.  A charcoal Weber grill is located outside to grill up your favorite BBQ meats.  Enjoy your meals out on the deck or inside.  The kitchen table seats four.

Murphy’s Lazy Haven provides Wi-Fi free of charge for your enjoyment! Feel free to watch as much Netflix as you'd like!!

There is a Keurig and regular coffee maker at the cabin.  I make every effort to supply basic K-cups and coffee grounds.  Feel free to bring your own favorite coffee.

New property feedback: As indicated, this Cabin is new to me.  Although I have personally stayed in this Cabin and am not a stranger to hosting, I may have overlooked a detail.  If you notice something that needs my attention or have a suggestion to better the Cabin for yourself or future guest, please let me know.  I'm always looking to make my Cabins better and better.  I take great pride in keeping up on the maintenance of my Cabins.

Cell Service: My Verizon cell service works "ok" for calling or texting.  Data usage is not the best but the Cabin Wifi works great.

Fireplace: For obvious reasons, the fireplace is non-operational during warm weather months.  The fireplace is operational October 15th through March 15th.

Mountain Roads: This Cabin is on a mountain in the Sky Harbor subdivision.  It is easily accessed via asphalt roads.  There are sharp turns and steep grades, which might be a shock to some.  Please take your time driving.  Some roads require you to pull over so another car can safely pass.  Don't panic, our fully loaded Honda Odyssey mini-van and Honda Civic get to the cabin with no problems under dry and rainy conditions.

With that being said, in the event of snow, going up or down the mountain is not recommended.  This area averages 10 inches of snow per year.

Pets/Animals: I do NOT permit pets or animals of any kind for any reason.  My housekeeper has SEVERE respiratory allergies. 

There is no smoking or vaping of any kind permitted in the Cabin!!

Grill Charcoal: Unfortunately, I do not guarantee a supply of charcoal at this time.  Please plan accordingly.

Check in Time: 4:00 PM (sometimes my housekeeper will have the Cabin ready sooner but there is no guarantee).

Check Out Time: 10:00 AM.  The housekeeper arrives shortly after 10:00 A.M..
